Amador Transit Adds Grocery Outlet to Shuttle Route

Jackson, California, July 2013.  Amador Transit is excited to announce that schedule changes going into effect on September 9, 2013 will include adding Grocery Outlet as a stop on the 5A/5B Shuttle Route.

Grocery Outlet store owner, Rhonda Andriessen, responded to the news by stating, “We are very excited that our customers will have this great transportation option to get to Grocery Outlet. We will have to plan something to celebrate!”

Other changes will include adding one more Shuttle run to close the current gap between the 3:15pm and 5:15pm runs, adjusting the start times of some runs, and having Shuttles travel down Forrest Products Road instead of Hwy. 49 when going from Health & Human Services to Safeway.

Amador Transit will also be adding a Monday only route to River Pines that will travel through Amador City. This route is partially funded by Amador County Behavioral Health Services to address the need for increased access to community services to isolated, underserved groups. Originally, designed to serve the residents of River Pines, Amador Transit modified the route to also include Amador City, providing residents of both communities the opportunity to access services in Plymouth, and connections at the Sutter Hill Transit Center to Shuttles and other routes.

Complete schedule information will be posted on the Amador Transit website at www.amadortransit.com in August.  Call 267-9395 for more information.
